    Similar to cooking with gas, the 1500W Butterfly Element distributes heat up the walls of the wok. The heat-responsive die-cast aluminum then maintain this high heat to sear food.

    15 precision heat settings to High Sear/425°F to emulate Asian-style cooking. For best results, preheat for 10 minutes on ‘High Sear’ setting before beginning to cook.

    Cook ‘n’ Look tempered glass lid with adjustable steam vent allows for the ideal amount of moisture for any dish.

I bought this from 2 months ago and works great, the material is good quality, the nonstick with the iron its a convenient mix for preparing food, the temperature is really easy to handle, if you want higher for the asian vegetable fried food or low for soup or warm the food. Soo great.

New Experience

"I have never had an electric wok before I bought the Hot Wok. I am thrilled at how many uses this thing has. The high sear setting is great! I will probably never take it off my counter. You can cook almost anything in this wok. It takes the place of so many other pots and pans, and the clean-up is a breese. I strongly suggest you try this great wok. Great Addition to my Kitchen!

"I really like this wok a lot. I realized that when I cook dinner I'm often cooking things in a pan on the stove. The Hot Wok makes making dinner a much easier job for me. Very easy & fast, low spatters and great tasting dinners every time! Nice job, Breville!"

EXCELLENT Addition to your wok-cooking kitchen!

"This wok beats any other I have ever had, steel, iron AND electric. The blazing hot HIGH SEAR settings makes fast work of any food item you plan to wok.

As a vegan, I could never get any hob-based wok to heat high enough to pan-fry tofu or stir-fry tofu and make that yummy crispy outside. NOT ANY MORE! The HOT WOK made quick work of the tofu browning and I found myself chopping more veggies to add!

I recommend this item without reservation....5 Stars ALL THE WAY!"

Even better than expected

"I was a bit hesitant at first about buying an electric wok (after all, how can an electric wok compete with cooking over a gas stove?), but this wok really does deliver. It heats up quickly, has a round bottom (which is what makes it a wok), and emulates a real wok quite well. I even made a roast in it by searing it for no more than 6 minutes per side. With the non-stick surface, it works like a charm."
