- Excellent I have been using this forover a year now and have no complaints. It does all it's supposed to do and does it well. Love the panninnis. Quick on chicken, fish, and burgers. Was a little apprehensive when I first bought it, due to reports of switches etc going bad. Have no fear, chances are you wil get a good one. I did. Again, if anything happens to this one, I will most certainly buy another.

Very disappointed
Had it for approximately 1 and 1/2 years, using it only occasionally, the on/off switch won't work. The same happened to an expresso machine, last year. Probably won't buy Breville again, not reliable.
At the price you pay at William-Sonoma for the Breville brand, you expect to have better quality...

Outstanding!!!
So far I have six appliances from "Breville" : ikon blender,variable temp tea kettle,Elite juice fountain,citrus juicer,4 slice ikon toaster,Smart oven and now I have this 800 GRXL grill. All of them are par excellence. The key factor is that everyone must read its manual thoroughly to understand how these sofisticated appliances work. Another thing is all these appliances I have are Breville's top of the line appliances in their own catagories. May be that where the qualities is par excellence.
I'm quite happy with all of them and I just wish that "Breville" comes out with some more different appliances such as microwaves and some high end power tools.Let's hope "Breville's" engineers are already working on these!! Thanks! - Worked great about ten times Worked great for about ten times and then died. I bought it in the box new but it was not from an "authorized dealer" so they wouldn't let me return it to fix or exchange. Had it one month. I wish I knew of a great grill/panini without going commercial.
- Love it..use it all the time. I use my grill all the time. I'm amazed out quickly it cooks for example boneless skinless chicken breast..5 to 6 minutes and comes out juicy...I use the sear setting..the highest. Also salmon comes out quick and tastes great too. I have cooked hamburgers on it with the lid down and set at the next setting up so it's not resting the full weight on the hamburger..but still touching it. If you ever make burgers on the grill out doors, you should never press down on the burgers as a lot of people do 'to get them down sooner'...you squish all the juice out of them and they will be dry tasting. I cooked tuna on it too and the tuna melts in your mouth. Also you don't have to use oil with this product. I couldn't be happier. I've done panini's as well...all great great great!!!! I purchased mine via a store on ebay new and not refub.etc...I didn't get the instruction book, but since Breville has the operating manual online, I just printed a copy off. I also have 5 other Breville products and couldn't be happier.
- Useful for everything! I received this grill as a gift and I have used it almost every day since I got it. It's easy to use and the variable tilt, temperature, and top height make it useful for so many different things. I've cooked burgers, vegetables, quesadillas, sandwiches, all kinds of stuff. It doesn't take up much space (especially since it can be stored on its side) but it opens up into an impressively large grill so I can cook a few different foods at the same time. It's unbelievably easy to clean- I made a joke to a friend that it's so non stick it's more like can't stick! The only complaint I have is that the stainless steel outside shows water and other marks and that I wish the cord storage was on the side or back so I didn't have to pick up the grill to wrap the cord. Overall this is a very high quality grill and useful for just about everything. I highly recommend it
- A little disappointed I love our Die-Cast indoor grill but I've had to return it once already because the screws in the handles wouldn't stay in and it became a hazard for anyone using it. We returned it to Williams-Sonoma and they graciously gave us another one and now our on/off switch won't work. It stays on and now we have to unplug it from the wall in order to turn it off. We love the way it grills and its great at clean-up but we've had several issues that I can't believe we've had and it hasn't even been a year since we bought the original one.
