"This is my first juicer so I have no comparison to make from other products. My husband purchased this for me for Christmas. And this morning is the first time I've used it. I can't say how much I love this product--from the different speeds of the juice extraction, to the easy cleanup! I had seen the videos and knew to add a plastic bag in the container that catches the pulp. So, when I went to the store to buy fresh fruits and veggies, I kept the bags that they came in and am using those. It is such a wonderful product. There is very little noise too. I told my husband that I was going to turn it on because he was watching TV--but to my amazement, he could still hear the TV over the motor noise, even on the high speed. And cleanup was a snap. All the parts came apart easily and washed with no difficulty in the sink. Thank you for a great product at such a reasonable price. "

"I did research for 2 months on juicers. I choose Breville because of the great reviews. The multi speed option is wonderful. I have not had trouble juicing any fruit or vegetable. Clean up takes about 5 minutes. I have no regrets on choosing this juicer. I use it EVERY day!"

"The filter basket is hard to clean when juicing carrots. carrots tend to stick. I have cleaned the basket 3 times.
Apples when jucing on the #5 speed tend to come out of the sides. The apple pulp gathers at the top of thecollector.
But never the less other fruits juice OK it's just the apples I am having a problem with.
I made muffins out of the pulp and they are absolutely delicous.
I have tried other juicers and this juicer seem to work the best.
I wish two picturer's and two filter baskets came with the juicer."

"We have been comparing specifications and reviews for weeks in order to make the right choice in juicers - we settled on the Breville Ikon for a several reasons:

a) powerful motor and juice yield
b) have been VERY satisfied with the other three Breville appliances we own
c) ease of clean-up

This juicer cuts through carrots, apples, pineapples, etc. like a power saw and yields more juice than I would have thought possible. Also, the variable speed allows you to juice softer fruits and even leafy greens without reducing them to sludge before extracting juice.

Clean-up is a breeze - take the included cleaning brush to the mesh insert, rinse everything under water and pop it in the dishwasher.

Construction is sturdy and attractive and our experience with Breville customer service in the past makes us confident that if we do ever have a problem it will be addressed promptly.

"Not only does this juicer look great, but is an unbelievable juicer! I love it! I researched all the different juicers online, and based on all the good reviews for this product, bought it. It is easy to clean ( 5 min) , fast and has a powerful motor. The pulp is dry and the juice tastes great. I juice on a daily basis, sometimes 3 or 4 times per day. The kids love to come up with their own juice belnds -and I get to sneak in some veggies and they love it! I have juiced grapes, garlic, spinach, ginger, celery, beets, apples, oranges, kale, carrots, sweet taters, strawberries, watermelon, blueberries, radishes...and not a single problem with any of them. "After researching off and on for 2 years for a juicer I finally bought the Breville Ikon Multi-Speed Juice Fountain. It is a middle price range and much higher quality than anything else out on the market. I have not seen a bad review from any site that I have visited regarding any of the Breville juicers either. I must say it has been really terriffic to use. It's very easy to clean with just a few parts. I rinse immediately after my juicing. The filter basket is simple to clean with the brush, which is included in with the juicer. Simply brush the inside gently and the outside gently and your done! You can use the dishwasher to clean but why would you? Everything rinses off with cold water and a little soap if needed. It does not require muscle to clean this machine at all. The instruction manual is easy to understand and has great recipes to get you started juicing and ways to use the pulp of some vegetables to make soups among other meals. I'm so happy with this purchase. The motor is high powered and extremely quiet. It is quiter than my blender! I really was very surprised about that.
