"My daughter-in-law bought a Breville juicer and every time I went to see them in NYC she fixed me a glass of the "green" stuff every moring. After I got home this last time I decided that it was good way to get the veggies that I wasn't cooking for us. I shopped around until I found the Compact model at a discounted price (store was closing) and found this "juicing" process was even easier than I thought. I have my choice of greens/oranges/whites and I always add a piece of fruit. I've got the timing down to less than five minutes for two glasses; cleaning the machine is easy and it's ready to go the next day. I vary the veggies and the fruit. My husband hasn't been this regular since he was a kid. I really like the fact that we're getting vegetables once again, daily, instead of on a hit-or-miss basis. So far I've used kale, spinach, celery, carrots, cucumber, tomato, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, darker lettuce (red and green), pears, apples and seedless grapes; just bought mangoes to try. I feel it was was a well-spent $79 (it was discounted). I can even see me buying a more expensive one someday but we'll see."

"My first juicer for a graduate student - the juice is delicious and I can use the pulp from my fruit to mix into yogurt and it is very tasty.

I've had my juicer for two days. As of today, I've juiced apples, celery, cucumber, carrots, green pepper, onion, beets, and I have a bunch of fresh foods that I am planning on experimenting with.

Warning: fresh apple juice is very sweet and you will feel like you just drank a double shot of coffee if you drink too much.

Cleaning is easy, even for a student! I do worry that the blade on the basked might run out, but I've only had this for two days so it's hard to say how long it will last. The juice is very pure, and it comes out fast.

Use the food pusher because this thing spins so fast the food might fly back up.

I'm not on a "juice diet" but I am using the juice to incorporate more veggies into my regular eating habits and since I don't like veggies and since there's a ton of veggies that I haven't even tried (like fresh beets - not from a can) this is really fun for me. I eat a sprig of parsely after I juice veggies. I also add chia seeds to my fruit juice.

I have a lot of energy today. Time will tell if this is really going to change my lifestyle but I will tell you, after all that apple juice, I am definitely not craving sugar anymore.

"Simple. If you are thinking about buying a juicer, this is the one. For under 100$, you can’t find a better product. I read all the reviews and watched videos before I bought it and I have never written a review for anything ever, but I am so freaking happy and amazed at this juicer, I had to review it. I got the last one at best buy, they seem to only be online....but trust me, order this now and pay overnight shipping....you will not be disappointed. Okay, my diet from 16-27 was Swedish fish, candy hearts, ice pops and red bulls, lol. I never ate vegetables and would eat fruits maybe once a week. I am 29 and for the last two years I have been trying to eat healthy, but it’s expensive and I hate anything that isn’t processed, haha. I have a six pack, not to gloat, just been luck with genes, but I eat like crap, so I decided to buy this blender and give it a try. All I can say is wow! This thing is freaking amazing. I promise I don’t work for Breville, but honestly, I would love to after buying this thing.

If you are like me and despise the taste of many vegetables, but don’t mind drinking them, the compact juicer is perfect for you. First, it's about 100$ and looks, feels and acts like it should be 400$. I wasn’t expecting it look and feel like it does at all, which is solid and sleek. Second, this thing works and it shreds perfectly, no seeds, peels, pulp, nothing but pure juice and they literally thought of everything. Cleaning it is super easy and fast, there are about 3 or 4 parts and it took 30 seconds to build and start out of the box and about 5 minutes to clean. They give you a froth guard and a brush to clean the insides and everything works great. It's a solid little machine that packs a huge punch. I put in a whole apple and it turned it to juice in about 1 millisecond. I cut some grapefruit, and oranges up, put in whole carrots and celery and pineapple and I had juice in seconds. I seriously couldn't be happier. I hope you buy it based on my review, you will not be anything other than amazed.

I thought everyone on this site and best buy were paid to write good reviews, but just buy it and try it. You will wish you had this 10 years ago, or I know I did. I am juicing every day and its fun too. It's not that loud, about as aloud as my normal blender, it's safe, I don’t feel like my finger could ever slip in, it doesn’t leak; it shreds instantly and leaves nothing but juice. I really thought it would have seeds or pulp or something, but nope, 100% pure juice and the best part is, is the manual. I lifted it out of the box and said oh crap, this is heavy and it probably has a million parts to install.....the whole manual is filled with recipes!!!!!

I tried some and they were great, how awesome is that? I am actually in shock that this thing is only 100$ at best buy, and less online....trust me go out and buy or order this thing now.....corny, but it has actually changed the way I eat. I freaking hate tomatoes and beets and cucumbers, but when I juice them, it doesn’t taste so bad, just add some fruits and anything else you want and you will eat much healthier. I was about to spend 200$ at Puree to do a 3 day juice detox and now I just buy fruit and veggies, toss them in and bam, have juice instantly. I can’t say anything bad at all....maybe 1 or 2 things that could have been tad better, but they are actually my fault too. If you don’t have something under the spout when juicing, it will go everywhere, learned the hard way...I thought it had a compartment, but you need a cup or the supplied cup under it always haha and 2) Certain things like berries and small items that may bounce around if you don’t keep the smasher on tight.....but honestly you shouldn’t walk way from it anyways, so those are the only two things they could maybe improve on for a new model, but I give 5 stars, 10 out of 10, 100% amazing, best thing I have ever bought hands down and I have a 51" 3d plasma...I am so happy I bought this, I love using it, you will not regret it, I promise and I am going to buy Breville products from now on.....its not a stupid made for TV item, this thing is a beast!!!!!!! I LOVE IT

Cons: really nothing, hold a cup under it, but that's my fault and hold the smasher down when juicing or pressure may cause food to go flying, but really it only happens sometimes with small berries while on, easy way to correct is to load before hand while off then turn on....even though they say not to, lol, its fine to load first then turn on. Promise.

"I love this juicer. It is our first, and a great one for a first time user. The only problem is its too small. My husband liked the price and that's why he chose it. But, while we're on a juice fast, its a pain to juice, empty pulp, juice some more, empty pulp then clean it, several times a day.

If we get a larger one, it will definitely be a Breville. I think the compact is good for a single juicer, or maybe a couple. But our family of four is a lot for a small juicer.
