See what Consumer Reports has to say about the Sous Chef.

The big mouth food processor with finer, more even slicing.

All food comes in different shapes and sizes. So how do you get any size slice you like?

The extra-wide feed chute cuts longer slices and makes processing faster and easier. Gone are the days of having to chop potatoes into little pieces to fit into the chute. The variable slicing disc has 24 settings so you can customize the thickness of your slices from a paper thin 0.3mm all the way up to a thick 8.0mm. Using the 'S' blade, cut through the toughest jobs in seconds in the extra large 16-cup (3.8L) bowl. Or, for finer chopping tasks, the mini processing bowl is the perfect size for small quantities. All backed by a heavy duty 1200 watt induction motor with a 25-year motor guarantee.

Here's to the slice of life.

Excellent product!

"I purchased this food processor just before beginning my holiday baking and it was a tremendous help! I previously owned a Cuisinart but the Breville is much more powerful and versatile. I was able to process blocks of chocolate into powder for making a hot cocoa mix in a few seconds; the Cuisinart would not have had the power to do this. I was also able to whip cream and mix cookie dough, rather than moving the Breville food processor aside to set up my stand mixer for these tasks. That is the one drawback; it is quite large, as is the separate storage container for attachments. However, with only needing this food processor, I no longer need to keep my stand mixer nearby. Even with it's large size and heavy-duty parts and blades, it is no more noisy than my previous Cuisinart processor. It is definitely worth the price, especially if you are debating on getting both a stand mixer and food processor. This Breville can & does do it all! I LOVE IT!"
