March 21, 2015Juice vs. Smoothie
"I purchased a Nutribullet which i love because it makes great smoothies, but after drinking every kind of smoothie every which way i am so tired of it and now i decided to purchase this AWSOME POWERFUL Breville that i absolutely love. Don't get me wrong the Nutribullet is a great machine but sometimes you want to switch it up...I used the Breville for the first time this morning and it is very very easy to use..I purchased the baggies to collect all the skin/pulp. I made 20 ounces of juice for myself for my breakfast and i also timed it too see how long it would take to juice and clean...All the ingredients were already prepared and cleaned the day before..It took me a total of 20 minutes to juice and clean all the parts...Well worth the time. My juice came out FANTASTIC and very little oxidization..I'm in love and will use this machine every day along with my Nutribullet of course.
Cons: This is a Centrifugal juicer, so it will produce very little to no Kale or spinach. The trick is to stuff as much Kale and spinach as you can really tight and it will trickle some juice out..This is how i do it. Thanks Breville"

"Love this juicer. Own a smoothie store and it is great for juicing.
Very happy with the results. Fast, efficient, and easy to clean."
July 1, 2014Love this machine!
"Awesome juicer! Plenty of horse power to power though anything. I like the variable speeds and the amount of juice it is able to extract. The pulp is quite dry, so I am very happy with the results. I don't think that I could deal with the speed of a slow juicer. I was able to find Kale still on the stalk at Target (of all places) which makes it much easier to put in the juicer. Very very happy with the results. I normally juice on low speed to get maximum juice. I turn it up slowly if it needs more speed to get through tougher fruits and vegetables.
We have tried the soft fruit disc and are very happy that we spent the extra for it and the variable speeds.
I have a very busy lifestyle and a slow juicer would just make me dread using my juicer. I LOVE THIS JUICER!"

"I love this product !"
January 11, 2014Amazing
"Today was the first day I had ever juiced in my life. Thank you Breville for making it a most enjoyable one. While looing at juicers I wasn't sure if this was the right machine for me as it was pricey. However, I believe you get what you pay for. As I age, I wanted something to kind of hide those greens that I should be eating daily which I seem to put off in my diet thinking... maybe tomorrow is a better day to start. I have not tried kale or spinach as of yet and was disappointed to read the process with this machine did not have high reviews (this of course being after the purchase date). However, I will attempt Breville's method of wrapping those ingredients. The machine was so easy to clean. It didn't take long at all as the parts are easily removable. The machine itself is of high quality and very attractive where it sits on my counter top for daily use. Thank you for a quality product!"

"There is a saying that you get what you pay for...and it is true, especially with a juicer! We read the reviews and decided on this model; of course it was the most expensive, but so far worth every penny spent. Almost every morning we have made some sort of smoothie...like others have said we throw any number of ingredients into the machine and have yet to encounter one combination that we do not enjoy. We find that these morning drinks keep up held over until lunch without the stomach hunger growls...truly amazing!
Talk about clean up - a breeze; we just rinse the parts in the morning before leaving for work and then do the actual wash up when we get home. This juicer comes apart and goes back together with very little effort. We are feeling good and revitalized due to our new kitchen product and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality machine."
June 28, 2012Probably the best Centrifugal Juicers you can get.
"This thing is amazing. Very powerful. I understand that for some fruits and vegetables, centrifugal might be less than ideal because of all of the oxidization, but knowing that when I bought it, it is incredibly fast and has an extremely high yield of juice. Some juices might come out a little frothier or airy than desired, but many come out smooth as silk and tastier, healthier and more refreshing than anything you can buy pre-bottled.

"This product rules. I throw pretty much anything in here, including stuff I can't stand on its own like kale, and it reliably spits out quality juice. After just a week, I'm already feeling healthier since I now consume one all-juice meal per day. Not to mention it looks as expensive as it is, so it makes a good conversation piece since I keep it on the counter (though I think people get sick of my juice pontificating...).
Basically, all the positive things I have to say about this have already been said several times on here. It's powerful, efficient, easy to operate, and looks good. So now I'm going to list my complaints:
As someone already noted, it's not the most efficient at greens juicing, but it does work. I do see a good amount of kale juice coming out when I run it. If you're concerned, get a low-priced masticating juicer for the more stubborn plants because this thing rules at the fruit part.
I myself was disappointed by the juice disc's performance with frozen raspberries which, far as I can tell, went into the waste bin in their entirety. I probably should have used the puree disc, but even so, it was an unwelcome result. That was the one bad experience I had, though.
And finally, cleaning the mesh disc is a pain in the ass. The rest of the parts clean up easily but the disc gets clogged with plant matter that rammed into it with 13,000 rpm of centrifugal force. I usually have to brush it, soak it, then repeat three or four times to get it really clean. I guess that's the price of good health though.
Oh, Breville, can you guys tell me if the whole thing about juice losing its nutrients if not consumed within a day is a bunch of nonsense? The only source I hear that from is the insufferable new-agey types, but until I hear otherwise, I am stuck making juice every day instead of big batches."
October 10, 2011LOVE this juicer but need help with greens
"Hello! I am a huge fan of your juicers and your best personal commercial. I have the Dual-Disc juice processor at home and the Ikon at work. I have turned MANY of my friends and family on to your products. I work in the wellness industry and recommend your products weekly, if not daily.
That said, I am frustrated more so everyday with one area of juicing with your products -greens! I have tried the method you suggested and it only helps slightly. I also own a GreenStar juicer. Just yesterday I used your juicer, juicing melon and kale, parsley, and spinach. I then took just the green pulp (which had some pretty large pieces of unjuiced, shredded greens in it) and ran it through the GreenStar and extracted 12 more ounces of juice - on the second extraction!!! Can you please help me with this? What else do you suggest? Do you have anything in the works?
I want to continue to recommend your products and would love to not have to use two juicers to make one beverage - naturally this counteracts all of the efficiency benefits of your products, which is one of the things I love most about them. Please help me remain a faithful customer, fan, and salesperson (People tell me I need to work for you, I am that much of an infommercial for you. :) ) of your products.
Thank you, and sinccerely,
We are so glad to hear that you are enjoying our juicer! Unfortunately greens are always going to be a problem as masticulating juicers, the ones that grind things up to get the juice out of them, will always work better on greens then our centrifugal juicer will and it's an issue with most all centrifugal juicers, regardless of brand. Now, we have had suggestions that you can try bunching them tightly together and squeezing them into a ball or wrapping them in a larger firmer leaf like iceburg lettuce or even slicing a long piece from a carrot and tying the greens together and running them through that way. While that may give you marginally more, by the very nature of how the centrifugal juicers work, you aren't going to get as much juice from them as you would a masticulating one.
August 21, 2011Help with Spinach!
"Bought the juicer and I love it..... Only problem is, not getting enough juice out of spinach! I did 'ball it up' tight and still, not enough juice. Out of a bag of spinach I'm lucky if I see 1 tablespoon of liquid come out the spout. Please tell me what number (tried them all) is going to get me my spinach juice!!!!
We are so glad to hear you are enjoying your juicer! One trick you can try with the spinach or any small leafy veggie is to wrap them up in a lettuce leaf. The centrifugal juiceing filter basket can sometimes not get a good solid grip on the light leafy stuff in order to get the highest juice extraction out of them. The lettuce leafe adds heft and stability to those little leaves and should help you get a nice quantity of juice from them.
Thank you again Stephanie and keep enjoying your juicer!
