"I was a bit dismayed to see "Made in China" on the box when it arrived but quickly got over my apprehensions when I saw how well it was packed and how sturdy everything was. I really like this oven and it does bake one half a bagel just the way I like it. I was sure the convection part was not working because it was so quiet as could only hear it if I put my ear next to the vent. Love being able to bake in a 9x13 pan so probably will not be using the big oven any more. Love just about everything about it except the ability to cook more than 2 hours without having to reset it. I like to cook roasts low and slow, similar to a crockpot, so have to remember to turn it back on. Had not heard of Breville before but am impressed with the quality. Might consider purchasing the toaster/panini maker to replace my broken Cuisinart one when your price becomes a bit more reasonable. I only paid $249 for all four pans and the unit. I also like one of your coffee makers so if mine goes on the fritz, will probably try yours. "Just bought the Smart Oven today. I'm confident it's the best because I've owned the "french bread" toaster for 2 years and love it. Six months ago I bought the 600XL Blender and never thought a blender would be this incredible. I live in the desert, which means turning on the oven is pretty much out of the question in the summer months, so I'm really looking forward to this compact model for baking/convection/broiling/warming!!!
Besides being a great brand of kitchen electronics, the added bonus is that they are really great looking sitting out on the kitchen counter.

"We received this today, and the wife loves it. She's not a techy type person, but she loves the ease of use. People are right, you actually don't need the manual. She gave it the toast test, and it made perfect toast. Then bagels. Perfect. She's gotta knock this off, I'm gonna gain 30 lbs. :) Oh Lord, there she goes with a frozen pizza.........

"Originally I purchased a Cuisinart Brick Oven, but when I received it, I sent it back. Then I went to look at a different Quisinart because I had heard such good things about them. Well, the Breville was sitting right beside the Cuisinart, and when you see the two side by side, there is no comparision. It's almost like comparing cheap aluminum with high quality stainless steel. I've had my oven for about a month now, and I am SO glad I purchased it. It does not heat up the kitchen, it cooks food to perfection, it is the easiest thing to use that I have seen, and it's perfect for small amounts like croutons. If you are considering one, please do yourself a favor and purchase the Breville Smart Oven, you will be VERY glad you did."

"All the reviews I have read about this oven are exactly how I feel about this product. I am finished buying junk Black and Decker ovens that last 3 months and leave me feeling ripped off. "Made in CHINA" is kind of off putting because that usually means "disposable junk". That doesn't seems the case with this oven. I really hate being forced to buy anything manufactured there and its difficult to find anything that isn't these days, but that's not what I am here to write to you about.

This is a high quality item. I have had mine 24 hours so far and as others have said everything I have tried turns out great. After reading so many reviews of all the choices that are out there, I was sold on this oven. I looked for something less expensive and found similar, except the quality wasn't there. Being in a store, touching buttons and turning knobs on the "competition" only further sold me on this oven. I use "competition" loosely because this company with their manufacturing and engineers are well above the sad standard of todays products.

I trusted the reviews I read. I spent my money on something I couldn't touch. I knew very little about the name "Breville" and went on gut feeling.

If you are reading this looking to buy... there are TONS AND TONS of positive reviews for a reason. I would encourage you to go to stores as I did and see other brands. See for yourself what kind of trash the other guys are building and trying to get you to buy and then replace constantly. Think about 80 bucks for one that looks like and tries to *BE* this Breville and think about replacing it for another 80 bucks after you fight them over a warranty claim. That would be 160 dollars wasted and frustration you don't need when you could just buy the right one the first time.

I have only had mine 24 hours and I honestly cant vouch for durability. I CAN say I feel good about the online purchase and feeling the device in my hands makes me confident that my faith purchase of an unknown brand going by reviews alone was not a mistake.

Don't take my word for it though, the internet is a big place full of people that love this company and it's products. "

"When my old B&D died unexpectedly after many hard years, it was time to step up a notch for a replacement. Being single, this had been my go-to appliance instead of the big oven. So, I needed a solid replacement. At first, I balked at the price tag. Also, I had never heard of Breville before. But I liked what I saw, and my gut feeling said "quality". It's a bit hard to judge exactly how big the oven is from the website images. I was concerned it would use up too much counter-top space. I measured and figured it would work OK.

When it arrived and I opened the box, immediately I was very impressed with the build quality and feel. Love the magnetic rack pull-out feature, digital controls, a real broiler set and pizza pan. My first test was a frozen pizza using the nonstick pan. Perfection. Set it and forget it 'til the beeper goes off. Toast the next morning was dead perfect medium browned at the middle setting. I always had trouble with my old B&D, had to set it way down light to avoid burning toast, and oven control was tricky for baking. No more!

If I had to nitpick, it radiates a LOT of heat when running at high temp (450F for pizza), and cord is just a bit short, but the finger-pull plug design is genius. Should be made the UL standard for safety. Would I buy it again.......in a heartbeat! You won't be disappointed!"
