  1. This is the Best, Review by Delores

From the day I bought this oven it has been great. I am buying one for my daughter and her husband for Christmas. I have had no problems. (Posted on 11/16/09)

  2. Love it! Love it! Love it!, Review by JillCookie

This oven is so worth the money. I found it to be user friendly. My stove/oven takes 30 minuted to preheat and the Breville takes minutes. I love that it cooks so fast and defrosts at the same time. I will probably never use my stove/oven unless I'm cooking a Turkey. (I'll let the kids invite me over). Looking forward to warming my plates on the top.
The toaster function makes the best toast, I am thinking about eliminating my toaster. My husband and I buy meat from Costco and freeze a lot of it so when we want to eat a steak (at the last minute) we just put it into the Breville.

I just got my oven yesterday and am enjoying it immensely. It is so intuitive that once I read a little of the directions I got it so am already having fun.
Bravo Breville! This is my frist of your products but when needed I will certainly purchase others and recommend them to friends. (Posted on 11/4/09)

  5. Very superior product!, Review by Trudy
    Rating

I have used toaster ovens for years. I needed to replace my existing DeLonghi and when I saw this at Hammacher Schlemmer I couldn't stop thinking about it and I finally bought it. One of the things I love about is that it takes up very little counter space but the inerior has a large capacity. I also love that it has three levels for the rack. Kudos to Breville for a fantastic product! (Posted on 10/31/09)

  6. Workhorse of my kitchen...best appliance I ever bought., Review by SweetK

I don't use my stove anymore with the exception of the stovetop now that I own this Smart Oven. It cooks everything perfectly from toasts to roasts and everything in between. It's worth every penny and perfect for a small single parent family that cooks small meals regularly. (Posted on 10/31/09)

  7. Tried several others, Cuisinart included, and just love our Breville., Review by Shar

None of the others came close to the performance of this oven. The toast is perfectly crisp on the outside and still soft on the inside. (Posted on 10/28/09)

  8. So far so good, Review by Suitearia
    Rating

The oven in our range went out and we didn't want to pay the $400 to fix the "control" element but didn't want to buy a new range right now either. I read reviews then went and looked at this oven and decided this would be the best solution to replace a range. A bit pricey but ... The first night I cooked a meatloaf and it did a great job! Give me a few months to really try all the bells and whistles but so far so good. Hence only 4 Stars. (Posted on 10/26/09)

  9. One potential DANGER, otherwise FANTASTIC, Review by Carolyn in Dallas
    Rating

I really only needed a new toaster oven. I did a fair amount of research and found that MOST well-built, highly rated toaster ovens these days are now built with a convection feature. I've used a full-size convection oven for years and felt that if I was going to get a toaster oven with convection I would look and weigh my options. This countertop oven is UNBELIEVABLY FABULOUS! The top DOES get hot, but I've found that useful as a warmer by placing a piece of foil over what I've already cooked and setting it on top of the oven while I cook the rest of the dinner. One SERIOUS problem that I've found (the only problem at all) is this: I love that when I open the door to the toaster oven the attached magnets on the inside of the door PULL the rack out to the extent that rack and door are touching as the door opens. HOWEVER, once the door is laying flat on the countertop (and therefore disengaged from the rack) the rack itself continues to slip forward. I know the rack and whatever is on it will end up on the floor FOR SURE, but worse, whoever is taking out the toasted/cooked food (if they don't know about the sliding rack) is going to instinctively grab the rack to keep it from falling!!! Someone is going to burn themselves badly.

A "STOP" NEEDS TO BE ADDED TO THE OVEN/RACK that can be easily overrode to fully extract the rack AS YOU WISH. Luckily, my husband is a Mechanical Engineer and will create a solution for it.

Otherwise, the oven is fabulous. I'd like to add that because the small oven is SOOOO good and uses soooo much less energy to preheat and maintain temperature, it is more efficient and I therefore use my Breville toaster oven long before I would choose to use my regular oven. I can't rave about how wonderful the oven it enough! It's GREAT. It's RELIABLE. (Posted on 10/24/09)

  10. Close but no cigar - Not tall enough., Review by dick
    Rating

I for the most part love the oven. It does a great job. My only problem is that inside the oven is not tall enough. I like to bake my own bread and use a La Cloche. The La Cloche is about 2 inches higher than the inside of the oven. I have an old Hamilton Beach oven that I used to use and now have to break it out so that I can bake my bread. I don't use it for anything else but if the Breville were just a couple of inches higher in side I would not need the old oven at all.

I live in a studio apart where the landlord does not furnish an oven so these smaller ovens are the only choice. The Breville works out fine except for the height issue. Would not even need much to raise it and it would not add much to the size of the oven. Ir would make the product a whole lot better IMNSHO.

With all the blogs on the internet about baking your own bread and the sourdough revolution going on, it would seem to be a smart move on the part of Breville, especially since the quality is already there. (Posted on 10/22/09)
