- THE BEST!! After years and years of "cheap" toaster ovens I decided to go all out and buy a really nice one. This is by far the very best oven I've ever purchased or used. It works really well and cooks everything perfectly. It's the first toaster over I've ever used that actually makes good toast! Most toaster ovens either brown only one site or just dry the bread out without actually toasting it, so I've always kept a regular toaster around to make toast. Now I don't need the toaster! Everything I've cooked in this oven has come out perfect. Cleanup couldn't be easier. It's well worth every penny I paid for it!
- Worth the money We bought our toaster oven as a Christmas gift for ourselves. So far, everything we;ve used it for has come out perfectly. Its a little slower then our toaster for making toast but it works so beautifully that the toaster has gone down to the basement. We haven't cooked large meals yet, but have used it often for reheating. Today I toasted slivered almonds for a cake. Bakes wonderful potatos, much nicer than in the microwave. They also provide a wonderful cookbook BUT I wish they had more of the everyday things (for example, baking potatos!). I'd really like to see the Breville cookbook with more of the simple things. But, as far as the Toaster oven goes, it looks as if Breville has thought of everything.
- I Love this Oven!! I received my oven approximately two weeks ago and have used it everyday. I have prepared toast, bagels, brownies, cobbler, baked beans, potatoes, etc and everything turned out perfect. I like the fact that the surface of the oven keeps my other foods warm while using the oven. Having a light installed is not a problem but would be a nice feature had it been included. So simple to use and I freequently use aluminum foil to line or cover my dishes. I am careful to not allow the foil to touch the electrical heating components. I'm so glad that I spent a little more money and purchased this product. Cleans easily too. I plan on ordering a second rack so that I can cook two items at a time. Thank you for this wonderful product.

thanks breville for such a great product! - I bought THREE! I bought three of these for Christmas - gifts to my daughter and son-in-law living in a lower Manhattan apartment with one oven, one for my son and daughter-in-law living in a home with one oven outside Boston, and one for myself in Pittsford, NY...in spite of the fact that I have two ovens. I have found it far superior to my old DeLongi toaster oven in its functionality, size (can use large casseroles), and quality. As my engineer son put it, "This is a toaster oven on steroids!" All five of us love these versatile ovens and use them for everyday use as well as entertaining. Everything cooks perfectly and they are energy efficient. Even toast can be done precisely to your liking. I just hope that Breville comes out with a microwave soon!
- Smart Oven BOV800XL The product cooks great and throws out plenty of heat. The only drawback to the oven has been that the digital display showing what mode the unit is using doesn't light up. It still shows the temperature and will cook just fine.

I am glad we spent the extra money and got an oven that works really well. Easy to use with plenty of options.
Toasts bagels perfectly! Hope to buy the pizza stone soon. - Much more than a toaster! When our new range quit working after only two days, we were in a pinch until I remembered the Smart Oven we'd just purchased a few weeks earlier. While going without a large oven was a pain, the Breville turned out to be a life-saver! I was able to convection roast a whole chicken to perfection - brown and crispy on the outside - succulent and juicy on the inside for dinner one night. The Breville provides a very nice size oven without dominating the countertop. During our time without an oven, there wasn't much that we weren't able to cook in the Smart Oven. This is definitely much more than a run-of-the-mill toaster!

Wow!!!
At first I was a little worried about spending the extra money without understanding how these ovens work and seeing the cheaper models out there. All I can say is this is the best money I have spent. I have cooked a couple items so far and they turned out awesome. I was really happy with the ease of use. You guys did a great job on this one.
By the way, I went and bought the juicer as well. I am just as impressed with this little jewel!! Runs really smooth.

Excellent Oven
Excellent, literally Top Of The Line....If you want to finally have a Toaster Oven, that is Old Fashion, and by that I mean, it's made to last a lifetime, cook well, and easy, then by this product. It get some getting used to as some of the settings are limited, ex: in broiling you only have three options: 200 degrees 300, 400 0r 500 degrees, no mid (ex: 450 degrees).
Every feature is easy to use. I bought the serving tray, which I use to rest some pots on. Very Convient, as the tray does NOT GET HOT.....:)
I am having a cleaning problem with the inside of the door. I will get that information from a costumer serv rep.

Homemade Tahini and Baba Ghanoush
Homemade versions of store-bought products always taste so much better to me. Baba Ganoush is a famous Middle Eastern dip made with eggplant. It's something I had wanted to make for a while. Baba Ganoush is a fun recipe to make with kids, and it can be eaten with almost anything -- stalks of celery, carrot sticks, pita bread -- the list is endless.

Cottage Cheese Lasagna Strikes Back
One of my favorite comfort foods is lasagna. Every time I make it, I am simply amazed at how such simple ingredients can quickly come together to create a flavorful dish. What sets this recipe apart is the use of cottage cheese instead of ricotta. I also use slices of mozzarella, which make for nice even layers with full cheesy coverage.
