"We purchased this toaster because I hated all other toasters and I knew of Breville from our Australian friends. This toaster is fantastic - it toasts based on time, not on light/dark/ burnt.... wonderful. I also frequently use the reheat function, I trust my Ikon toaster so much I don't even use the "Lift and Look" feature - I know that it is toasting exactly how I set it! It works great and it looks great, love the blue glow of the LED. I am slowly converting all my small appliances to Breville based on the design and quality of this toaster. Keep up the great work, Breville.

We've probably had it for 4 years now, and it's still making perfect toast and toasted bagels :) I love the LCD screen and the different controls - especially reheat (I can't tell you how many times I forget about my toast even though it makes a nice "ping" when it's ready!). "I've had this toaster for about 4 years now. It works beautifully and looks just as good as when I bought it. My previous toaster gave up the ghost after only a year of use.
I bought this toaster after seeing it at my sister's house in Australia -- it's very well made and I'm very happy with it.
One problem that I have with ALL toasters is that they retain the last setting which means that if your'e not careful, you could burn your toast after someone has toasted a bagel.
I think all toasters should be designed with the option to reset to zero after use. When there are multiple users in a household -- some like their toast light and some like it dark --- too often you are toasting your last piece of bread and inadvertently burn it because you are not prompted to select the correct setting and the last person to use the toaster had it on dark :-("

"I bought this toaster after reading the great reviews. It doesn't work. the only way to toast bread is to manually hold the lever down while he slice is on the toaster. I was better off with my dumpy hand me down toaster."

"I purchased this toaster a week ago. So far it is toasting perfectly. My only concern is with the freely rotating toasting knob and accompanying digital display. Usually parts like these go bad quickly. A knob with specific "hard" stops with permanently displayed numbers would probably never malfunction the way a digital display and loosly rotaing knob will. I am praying that it doesn't go bad."
