Our first meal was Chicken Pad Thai, and it turned out perfect concidering we had never cooked any Asian dishes in our life. This wok is a 5 star rating all the way. The only thing that could make it better would be if Breville offered an instructional receipe DVD. This would be great for beginners like my wif and I."

"We have had this Wok for one year now. I love it. I use it a couple of times a week if not more. You really don't need that much oil because of the non-stick. The heat output is great. It sears meats, poultry and fish perfectly.

"We ordered this for a Chinese New Year party that we were hosting. Goal was to make egg rolls, stir-fry shrimp, veg, etc. Wok heats up evenly and controllably. It is also easy to take apart and clean.

We were hesitant to purchase a product with non-stick coating, due to health concerns related to high-heat and non-stick surfaces. We were also concerned about dropping $$ for a non-stick wok that could easily scratch. The plastic spatula that came with the wok made lots of small scratches on the non-stick surface. Kind of disappointing that we now own a $$ non-stick wok with scratches. We now use a really soft silicone spatula with no edge on it. We are not professionals, but we know how to control temperature when cooking. We're not so concerned about food sticking and burning. So the non-stick surface is kind of a nuisance.

If Breville made an electric wok without the non-stick we would have bought it."

"Terrific wok. Heats quickly and distributes the heat consistently across the wok. Quick and easy cleanup. Detach bowl from base and throw in dishwasher and you are done!"

"I was hesitant to buy an electric wok, but after reading several reviews, I thought I'd give it a try. I've owned a carbon steel wok in the past, and really liked it, but, I have to say, I like the Breville electric wok better. It's just like cooking on a gas stove, using a carbon steel wok.....but its easier to clean, and non-stick. It heats up fast, and stays hot, which is important when stir frying foods. Now, I'll be preparing more of my favorite Chinese dishes."
