This is the Coolest Machine Ever
A friend of mine had one and made me a cup of Chai Tea Latte with it. It was just as good as the $4 cup from Starbucks and at a fraction of the cost. I did a little research, found the Breville brand and was attracted to its' stylish look. I'm not one for electronics on my counter but this was so pretty I don't mind.
I have only had it for about a week but everyone that I have made coffee for thinks it tastes wonderful. They liked the fact that it was always fresh and it only took seconds to be ready.
I have used it for tea. However, I haven't found that I have mastered that yet as I'm using loose tea instead of the K-Cups. My local shopping stores seems to be out of the K-Cups that I'm interested so I have to wait until the vendor restocks. I believe the K-Cups are perfectly formulated for teas so there will be no trial and error, or at least that is what I expect.
In a nutshell.......I would recommend this product to anyone. - Bigest variety of K-Cups For those of you who cannot find a good selection of K-cups at the retail box stores, try Green Mountain Coffee out of Vermont (greenmountaincoffee.com). They have a super-duper variety of coffees, teas, cocoa, etc. Also many seasonal blends throughout the year. You can either order a single shipment, or save with auto-ship. AND when you order 4 or more boxes of K-cups, the shipping is FREE.
- Best coffee I've EVER had!! After owning the Breville blender for 1 year, and seeing the quality, I just had to splurge and get the single up brewer. You get what you pay for! Top quality, beautiful appliance, and the best tasting coffee. My husband gave me some grief over the price I paid, but after owning it for one month, he wants me to buy one for our vacation home!! He loves it just as much as I do. I just wish more stores carried the K-cups, and the ones that do, carry a bigger selection.

excellent and quiet machine
We have a Keurig SE at home in CT, it could wake the dead it's so loud, also vibrate the cup and moves the drip tray from vibration. The Breville is wonderfully silent! (we got it for our vacation home in FL)
I too am dissappointed with the selection of K-Kups at the retail level. We order from Amazon, for a much much wider selection. I like a large strong cup of coffee and have been perfectly pleased with JetFuel by Coffee People, a 50pack is 21.00 at amazon. - Worth every penny! I finally got my Breville coffee maker after waiting for 2 months to get it. I am so happy that I decided to wait and not to go with the other coffee machines out there. While other machines may cost less, you won't get the performance and versatility that comes with this coffee maker. In fact, I am so impressed with the quality of this machine that I am thinking about purchasing the BBL600xl blender and smart oven. Keep up the great work Breville!!
- Almost Perfect I can relate to the blinking BREW/OPEN THE HEAD comments. Very Annoying. Why couldn't it be more subtle like like my Smart Oven? Also as already stated the BRIGHT white lights are a little over the top, a muted blue across the board would be a nice understatement. What I did to get away from the all the blinking was to open the head and then bring it back down to almost a closed position. This keeps the display illuminated without all the blinking. It will also do this opened all the way obviously. I am not sure if this will affect the heating for the timed brew or not, but this is not an issue for me. I would rather wait 4 minutes if I had to vs. seeing that blinking message all day and night. That said, cosmetics aside, functionally this unit meets my standards. Yes a lot of plastic, and I would prefer a hotter temperature option, oh, and a better price while I am at it, but I all in all I will give it 4 stars. Cheers.
- love it I have used and gone threw alot of coffee makers in my life, When I came across the breville Kcup I was not sure at first. but after using it I would not brew my coffee any other way. It is the most used piece of kitchen equipment in the house, The wife loves it for making teas and my kids love the fact they can make hot chocolate, I roast my own coffee and use my own blends in it. the Breville is a solid machine and well worth it!
- Amazing I bought the Keurig 700XL the very same day after tasting the "donut shop"coffee at a friends house. There is no guess work -a perfect cup of coffee every time and NO clean-up. I also use the hot water to make my English tea- I just pop the tea bag in the mug-it's as simple as that,no electric kettle needed. You can remove the water tank or fill by hand -either way it's a breeze and is ready to brew within seconds Very easy to opperate, quiet ,a truly unbelievable single cup brewer. Perfect for anyone who lives on their own and want's fresh coffee in 30 second's.I LOVE IT-----and yes, I too tend to drink more .
- Love It But.... i love this coffee maker. i got it for christmas. It brews a perfect cup of coffee every time. i give it 5 stars for that but, I didn't get the 18 k-cups that were supposedly included so i emailed Breville and their in the process of being shipped. Awsome!

Great machine but limited brew size & strength
The concept and quality of the machine exceeds any other single brew machine we've seen in years. The amount of counter space consumed to brew a single cup of coffee seems disperprotional although it brews lightning quick and hot. We have found that a brew size larger than the smallest 2 sizes delivers coffee too weak to enjoy. When using the My-Kcup filter basket expect a good cup of coffee with same strength issues and be sure to remove the Kcup filter immediadtely after use as the grounds will be impossible to remove once the built in heater bakes the grounds in place even with the auto shut off enabled.
To date we have not been able to find any one store where we shop regularly with a good selection of K-cup coffees / flavors and they are $$$.
For the money I expected more comsistency in brewing various cup sizes. The jury is out as to whether we can adjust to making multiple small cups to overcome the brew size limitation.
