Purchased in 2007 and really loved it. Best blender I have ever owned... hands down. I have used it about 16 times since then and my blender is now out of warranty. Last month, the carafe chipped pretty badly while I was washing it and you can't buy a replacement. I continued to use the blender until tonight when my wife powered it up and it electronically failed when she selected a speed. After half a dozen other blenders this was my favorite and I can't possibly express my disappointment in the workmanship of this product. Breville: Never again. (Posted on 11/17/09)

I used the blender for two weeks. As I was hand washing the pitcher in the sink, it slipped out of my hand, fell a total of four inches, and broke into thirty pieces. I bought this blnder and at first I was not sure if I liked it. When I finally used the smoothie button I made the best smoothie's. I let someone convince me that the Blendtec was better. I just so happens that there was a live demonstration so I went and I bought one. I was so excited until I tried to make my smoothie. For having so much more power I thought that it would whip through any thing. Well let me tell you that the Breville can pulverize a hole apple but with the Blendtec you had to quarter it and add fluid. This blender has been the best I've ever had after 35 years of cooking. The motor and blades are amazingly great quality. I've purchased Osterizers, Hamiltion Beach, Black and Decker, Kichen Aid, and Kenmore products in my time and none of them can even come close to outliving the life of this blender. I purchased the Breville ikon LCD in April 2008 and it is still going strong. Unfortunately, the face of the blender's motor is starting to peel. If looks don't bother you - this is your blender! It leaks everywhere and is very hard to put together after being washed. I have called customer service and they have not been helpful.

i love my brevill 600xl blender. i have had many in my lifetime, including 3 Kitchen Aids. this blender surpasses them all & leaves them in the dust. it is powerful, quick & amazingly quiet. great investment for die hard blenders, worth every penny. (Posted on 10/25/09)

I love this blender! I can make smoothies with any vegetables that I want and get all of the nutritional benefits for a raw diet. It works very well with nuts also. (Posted on 10/22/09)
