"I have searched high and low for a tea kettle of this calliber and have finally found it ! One of my favorite features is the safety feature...I no longer have to worry or check the stove to see if I've turned off the tea kettle..Honestly, this peace of mind is worth the price. Also, love the fact you can change the water temperatures for different type of teas, and looks classy on the countertop.
Hats off to Breville for making such a great product. This is my first Breville purchase and certainly won't be my last.

"I love my kettle. We make coffee via a "pour over" method, so I use the French Press setting - every morning. We lived in Japan for a while and got used to having a beautiful cup of green tea - and in Japan their kettles also have variable temperatures - you would never want to scald the tea leaves, so we love to be able to use the right temperature for the right tea or coffee. It still looks as beautiful as the day I bought it - fantastic. Worth every penny! "

"I love the kettle but after about a year it just boils the water for any button 195 degrees or hotter. What's the point of all those pretty buttons if they all do the same thing?

Anyway, it's used every day, often more than once. It's the best on the market, but it could be a bit better.

"Reviewed this Breville tea kettle thoroughly. It heats the water to the desired temperature as selected, quickly and quietly giving a beep when the desired temperature is attained. There is a safety feature that will not allow the kettle to boil if there is too little water.

This kettle is for tea! Should you desire a simple electric kettle there are many makes on the market. My wife, who does not like new gadgets thought this tea kettle was great. She is right handed and I am left, so the swivel works great for us, as well as seeing how much water you are putting into it. Two plastic inserts on both sides indicate the water level.

This goes great with a tea infuser and stove top timer. Simply decide how much tea you want, fill to desired level and select the type of tea or temperature and hit the start button. An additional feature which is nice is the hold button. It will keep the temperature at the selected temperature for 20 minutes. Naturally it reduces the boil selection to 209 degree instead of letting the water boil down.

"Temperature settings make for a perfect cup of tea... never over-boiled that gives tea a flat taste. My husband loves it for his french press coffee. I also use it to heat water for cooking pasta and risotto...so much quicker than waiting for the "pot to boil" on the stove. We use it every day. When I encountered a problem with my first kettle, Breville sent a replacement immediately, no questions asked, and even covered postage. I highly recommend this kettle to anyone who wants the perfect cup of tea or french press coffee. You will not be disappointed."
