"I saved up and bought this juicer on New Years Eve. I received it the other day and finally had the chance to start my juice fast today. This juicer is amazing! "I have had my juicer for a month and wish that I had bought one year ago! First and foremost, the results are great - the fresh veggie and/or fruit juices are delicious and mega-satisfying. I use the pulp (there's a lot!) to make vegetable stock and I put spoonfuls in my dogs' food bowls - they love it, too. I feel so much better - peppier and less lethargic. I am athletic and my energy has been boosted since I started the juicing. Externally, I actually look healthier....skin, nails and hair are all perked up.

The machine is a snap to put together, to use and to clean. I actually have a good time with it and look forward to each day's concoctions. I teach supply-chain mgt classes and I almost put up a picture of my Breville 510 in class the other day to demonstrate a supplier who has gotten it right!

Since I got my juicer, my mom and sister each bought one, I sent one to another sister as a gift and today I brought in some juice for a work colleague and he went on line and ordered his. Do you have a commission plan, Breville? :>)

"I bought my juicer in August of 2011 and have been juicing ever since; and I am an ambassador to all of my friends of the value and benefits of juicing and have 'converted' many of them who are now all enthusiastic juicers.

A couple of weeks ago I did a 5 day juice fast and lost 8 lbs, I went from 177 to 168.8! It was "easy" after getting through the first day hunger pangs and habits...

I commute every week and have been packing my juicer every Monday morning and Friday afternoon so I have it with me through the week and on the weekend. I just bought another so I can have one at my office and one at my home...it is that valuable to me. I only wish there was a very compact juicer I could put in my suitcase for when I travel!!

Some of my co-workers are also into juicing and bought a high-end masticating juicer. It takes them twice as long to get half as much juice and it is always a 30-45 minute process for them. I can have a large glass of juice in a few minutes with a few more minutes of cleanup.

The more I study about juicing the more I become amazed at all of the physical and mental health benefits it provides...

"This machine is not just for health nuts and vegans. It's also great for boozing it up. While I could claim that I bought it to make healthy drinks, that would be a lie. I bought it specifically to extract juices for use in cocktails, and it's wonderful for that purpose.

First, the bad (and these are very minor): It is a little annoying to avoid nicking yourself cleaning some of the parts which have sharp tooth-like edges. Also, some juices will need to be strained by hand if you want something that isn't cloudy, like apple juice. The truth is, however, that you are going to face these problems with any machine--it's the nature of the beast. And, while it will handle citrus, it's not the most practical citrus juicer on the market, because of all the pulp.

But the Ikon makes short work of almost any other fruit or vegetable you can throw at it, and it's very easy to learn to use. On our first day, we tossed in a couple of cucumbers, a lime, and a fistful of mint, then strained it. Shaken with some gin and ice, it made a very refreshing cocktail indeed.

Pair this with a good citrus juicer, and you will never, ever, turn to artificial store-bought mixes again.
