"Best home juicer ever and also a work of art!"
March 17, 2012This Thing is BEASTLY!
"Juicing is not a new concept for me as I used to juice using a single auger masticating juicer (Omega 8600). But juicing fell off priority because of time. My Omega, a great juicer, was simple enough to assemble/dissemble for juicing and clean-up and ran oh so quietly. But the time needed for prep (whole lot of cutting to feed the machine!) caused me to loose interest. Besides I could always rely on my Vitamix for some healthy green smoothies!
Fast forward a couple of years, I see the movie Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead, and saw a Breville juicer at work. I was fascinated and again became interested in juicing as a tool to detox, reboot, re-energize, and maintain. So, I began researching Breville juicers and decided on the Juice Fountain Elite after seeing all the great reviews. I placed my order on Amazon only to find it back-ordered. After less than 24 hours I became impatient and ended up at the nearest Williams & Sonoma. LOL!
I have been a proud owner all of 4 whole days now. All I can say is OH MY GOODNESS! The quantity, clarity (little to no pulp) and clean and pure de-LIC-iousness of the juice this thing puts out is RIDICULOUS!! I get two cups of juice in less than 3 minutes putting multiple types of fruits and vegetables down the shoot. Right up there with my now 5 year-old Vitamix, this juicer is one of the best kitchen appliances and investments in my health I have ever made!
Now the strainer is a bit of a pain to clean, but I think with getting into the routine, it should after a while not be a problem. Let me put it to you this way, the whole process: prep-juicing-drinking-clean-up all put together is WAY less time than it took for me to just prep and juice with my Omega 8600. The process from start to finish for me now takes 20 minutes -even with that strainer!
So, unless you are only interested in juicing leafy vegetables and grasses (in which case a masticating juicer is the way to go) - I say, don't hesitate any longer. You will NOT be disappointed."
February 25, 2012Love It!!
"I bought my juicer over two years ago. Granted, I do not use it everyday but it it is still going strong. I also find clean up a breeze. I use my kitchen faucet sprayer to clean out the plastic top and spray out the mesh basket before using my brush. I line the pulp container with a plastic bag from grocery store so all I have to do is pull it out and throw it away. Sometimes I will even run the pulp through one more time and squeeze out just a little more juice!
When I juice veggies, I freeze the pulp and use it later to make a vegetable stock for soup. When this juicer finally dies on me, I won't be looking anywhere else for a replacement."
February 18, 2012A Total Masterpiece!
"My boyfriend and I started juicing after watching Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead. This DVD had a huge impact on us. The Breville was used, so after much internet searching, price comparing, and watching Youtube to compare all different juicers, this was the one.
We love this and use it every day. He juices, and I clean up. I must say, even though I love this, I feel there is a slight design flaw. It is in the plastic top, where the pulp flies out, there is a piece of plastic that catches a lot of pulp, and it gets packed in there really tight. Because I'm the one who cleans it every day, it is quite annoying to "dig" out the pulp with a spoon, knife, or whatever I can find that is small enough. I do not put it in the dishwasher as we don't use that every day, so I'm washing my juicer by hand.
I feel this juicer is top-of-the-line in quality and worth all that I paid for it.
Thanks Breville for making such a "high quality" product!"
February 13, 2012My first juicer
"I too bought a juicer because of Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead. All of the reviews I read pointed me to the Juice Fountain Elite and I couldn't be happier with my decision to buy it. I juice kale, lettuce, spinach, ginger, carrots, oranges, etc almost every day and the clean up is well worth the reward.
Thanks for making a great product!"
February 12, 2012You have saved me
"I was diagnosed with Ulcerative colitis and had to really watch my fiber intake.
After discovering and purchasing my Breville, I have been able to eat strawberries, blackberries, apples, carrots, and greens. My colitis is not an issue now and I feel so healthy and happy. Since I can't eat raw whole veggies, this is a great way to get them. I also watched Fat, Sick and Almost Dead and loved it. This is going to be my plan from now on. I did put the pitcher in the dishwasher which didn't fair well as the heat might have been too hot. I am assuming there is a replacement to purchase. It is much easier to clean that I thought it would be.
We are so happy to hear that the Juice Fountain Elite has become a part of your new lifestyle and that you are enjoying the benefits of juicing. Please keep us updated on how you are doing with the juicing!

August 18, 2011Love it!
"I just purchased this juicer at William Sonoma. I had to wait for one as the clerk stated they sell out every week. I did research as well and this juicer seemed to have the best responses. It seems others were not as powerful or died too early. I also watched the movie "Fat sick and almost dead" and that sold me. I have only used it for a week or so but I love it! It’s very easy to juice; easier than I thought. And clean up is much easier than I thought as well, even with cleaning the basket and mesh.
I hope the blade lasts a while. I will be careful with what I put in it so that I don't unnecessarily dull the blades.
The juice tastes great and there is no pulp at all that gets into the juice. Great product!
August 17, 2011Great juicer
"I love this juicer; however the mesh/cutting blade is awful expensive. Over $60 for it is too much when Omega only charges around $30 for theirs. Also why can't you just buy the cutting blade? Maybe I don't see it on this site but I can't seem to find it. The mesh should last a long time.
Other than those problems I love this juicer. I bought one for my sister and later I bought one for myself. My sister loves it, my brother in law juices for the whole family since my sister is kind of scared of the powerful machine. I love this juice I had a Breville juicer in the past, actually I still have it. This juicer is much faster and I hope it lasts a long time. I have heard the motor eventually dying after a 2 or 3 years of continuous use, I hope my last longer than that.
July 31, 2011I LOVE this juicer!!!!!!
"This is a great juicer! Very easy to clean and super easy to use. I am a bit concerned about the review preceding mine about how fast the blades dull. The juice is perfect and I love this juicer a lot! The old Champion juicer had was a nightmare, this juicer is a dream! Thanks Breville, Joe, and Phil for introducing me to this machine!"

"For $300.00 plus (with tax) for a juicer I would expect more. Over $60.00 for replacement blade/basket that gets dull easily it is too much money. I've had this particular model for a little while and I cut my apples and remove pits since they dull the blade much quicker that if taken out. The blade is too soft and gets dull very fast and your juice extraction goes down especially with leafy vegetables such as spinach, kale, swiss chard, etc. Usually I would juice carrots, apples and some green vegetables but the blade goes dull quickly and you have to buy an expensive replacement. It would be wonderful to have a titanium or stainless steel blade instead of what Breville provides. If I didn't invest in this, I would have bought entirely different type of juicer.
Thank you for that very forthright review of of the Juice Fountain Elite. We actually have made the blades of the filter basket on this particular model out of titanium reinforced stainless steel. Even though this is a great combination, we do understand that even that can dull with time and use.
Also, I know that with centrifugal juicers, leafy items can present an issue for juice extraction. We know that if you take the leafy items and squeeze them into as tight of a ball as you can and put that into the juicer, that can greatly improve the amount of juice that is extracted from them. Also, you can take your loose leaves and place them in a large single leaf of lettuce, wrap it up tight and run that bundle through the juicer. This too will increase the amount of juice you will be able to extract.
Thank you again for your concerns and your comments.
