  • Additional Features

The removable bean hopper holds up to 5oz of coffee beans. Easy-to-read settings on the side of the hopper allow you to position the plates to achieve the perfect grind for your specific coffee taste.

The slow nature of the grind imparts minimal heat to the beans, preserving more natural bean flavor than blade grinders.

The easy-to-read settings allow for grind choices from ultra-fine for Turkish coffee to large and coarse for percolators. Using grinds consistent in shape is a key element in producing flavorful coffee beverages. This way the water can evenly and equally extract flavor out of the grind.

Good Grinder

"First, I wanted a coffee grinder that did not sound like a chainsaw or a dentist drill. Second, I wanted a coffee grinder that would do a range of grinds from coarse to fine. Third, I wanted a grinder that would prevent ground coffee from being scattered about during grinding or transferring ground coffee to the coffee maker. This grinder does a very good job on all 3 counts. It is reasonably priced too. My only complaint is that the timer does not have a long enough maximum duration. The maximum is 30 seconds which never grinds enough coffee, especially when doing a fine grind on hard beans. I find that deeply roasted beans (e.g. french roast) are harder than lightly roasted beans. I usually have to push the timer button at least 2 times at the maximum duration setting when making a small pot of coffee for myself. I suggest making the maximum duration at least 3 minutes. Breville, are you listening?"

cheaply made

"Have had this grinder for just long enough for the warranty to expire when the on/off button fell off one day. Now this expensive grinder is nothing more than a paper weight. The company was very unhelpful when I told them of this problem "
