  • Additional Features

The removable bean hopper holds up to 5oz of coffee beans. Easy-to-read settings on the side of the hopper allow you to position the plates to achieve the perfect grind for your specific coffee taste.

The slow nature of the grind imparts minimal heat to the beans, preserving more natural bean flavor than blade grinders.

The easy-to-read settings allow for grind choices from ultra-fine for Turkish coffee to large and coarse for percolators. Using grinds consistent in shape is a key element in producing flavorful coffee beverages. This way the water can evenly and equally extract flavor out of the grind.

Messy... but grinds well

"Messy sums it up.... Bought this one to replce an older version that had the same CHEAP plastic basket... I was disappointed to see the same identical basket on the new model.

When you pay top dollar for a grinder, I would expect some measure of durability. Unfortunately, I expect the same result with this one that I got from the first....

Love it

"We have had two other burr grinders in the past, and this is by far the best. Quiet, clean, and efficient. We have noticed we use even less beans with this one. The sleek design is a plus as it matches the coffee maker also. Very happy with this purchase. "

Good grinder but not fine enough for espresso

"It is a very nice grinder. Quiet and a very even grind. I have tried two of them and had to return both because neither grind fine enough for espresso coffee, even at the finest setting. Judging from the previous posts, this appears to be a recent problem."

The grounding levels.

"For"Fine" I need to use the "Extra Fine"setting. In general, the grounding is too course.for what it says on the setting. But that is the only thing!
I love the durable materials and designe.
And hope it will do its work for a long time.
Most American products brake down way to soon!!(I am comming from the Netherlands)
Question:Can I order the plastic coffee container, the lower, for the grounded coffee?"

Good but cheap plastic parts break

"For about 1 year, I loved my grinder. Not the plastic lid to the catch receptical broke off and now I get "dust" everywhere when I grind. I've read the same problem by many other reviers... Iprepared to buy a new "basket" but I do not know how.

Good, but not awesome.

"It's a good grinder, but I had the same problem with the on/off button, that felt off in the first day (probably was forced inside the box). The settings for espresso also are too coarse, maybe good for domestic machines with pressurized portafilter, but not adequate to more expensive machines that use commercial portafilter. As a common grinder it works very well, but for espresso lovers it's not the best choice."

Excellent for my Purpose - Grinding for Coffee, Attractive, Efficient Design

"I have a Rocky Grinder for Espresso and my purpose in purchasing this grinder was for no muss, no fuss Technivorm grinding. I need a grind that's just on the near side of course, and the Rocky, bless its big heart, has a tough time with a course grind. The Conical Burr Grinder is easy, leaves no mess and does the job in an excellent manner. I'll try it on the Silvia some day for espresso. My only concerns were the rubbery on-off and timer buttons. They don't seem to fit with otherwise tastefulness of the design - they are tactful but are they durable?"

Excellent results, good value

"The Conical Burr Grinder performs exactly as promised. Easy to operate, and attractive on the counter. Grinds beans to perfection for a great cup of espresso. Thanks for another winner, Breville!"

Excellent grinder

"I bought this grinder after my other grinder (different manufacturer) stopped working. I did some research and found the reviews for the Breville most promising. I have had my grinder for a few months and I absolutely love it. I have not had a problem with it at all, and it cleans up very well. I'm saving my pennies now to buy the programmable expresso to go along with my burr grinder. It seems to be a better choice than some of these other higher priced expresso machines."
