"I've owned this blender for 3-4 years. It's perfect! Built the way all products should be: tough, strong motor, actually does what it is designed for-just like the old days, but with modern innovation & design! Crushes ice in a breeze, making wonderful beverages. Wonderful customer support.
Only wish Breville would develop a hand mixer too. Worth every penny. You guys put Cuisinart and Kitchenaid to shame. Sorry I was only able to give it 5 stars- it rates a 10."

"3 stars for how satisfied I am the blender did not break or die on me since I use it daily. An additional star for how easy it is to find and order replacement parts which is what I'm doing now. The minus star is from how the blade's shaft began to rust. It doesn't show onthe outside but just the inner shaft. There is also minor cosmetic peeling of the silver color coating on top of the base. "

"We purchased this blender 6 months ago, when I killed our old one. I have used it to make smoothies, crush ice, puree pumpkin. This Thanksgiving's pumpkin pie filling was the smoothest and lightest I have ever made.

When I first used it, I didn't tighten the blade assembly enough and my smoothie leaked a bit. After that I tighten it properly and have had no leaking.

"I am a self-admitted "blender killer" - over the years, my husband and I have purchased me every major brand on the market and I somehow killed them all. The smell of a burning blender motor became all too familiar. For a while, it was a running joke, "how quickly can she kill this one?"

Given how quickly I did kill blenders, we hesitated at the cost of the Breville but made sure that we could return it - just in case. At first, I was very gentle with this blender fearing that it would burn out just as quickly as every other that I have owned. I stuck with liquid blending and using crushed ice for any frozen drinks but... those days are over! I have used the blender to make bread crumbs from rock-hard french bread, made pesto and even minced garlic with it - just to see if I could! It has worked without a hitch! At this point, I just dump and blend without worrying.

I have not experienced any leaking and would highly recommend this blender for anyone who is a "blender killer" like myself! After 3 years of use, I still turn to it daily and count on it to do what I want without problems. Yes, it does cost a bit more than most on the market but... I'm still using it after 3 years so I think it was well worth it!!!

Oh, one bit of advice! When using it to blend citrus, wipe the base with a clean, damp cloth as citrus with corrode the base VERY quickly! "

"We bought this blender about two years ago and from the start we loved it. It has a beautiful sleek design that looks great on the counter. The glass jar is sturdy and comfortable to hold. It blends things fantastically! It has such power and yet it is very quiet. I love the smoothie function as well as the snow function.

As for the two flaws:
1. When cleaning it you disassemble the blade assembly, I'm ok with that. What I hate is that when you assemble it again you have to assemble it so tight as if you weren't going to take apart again or else it leaks!! and I mean it leaks bad..
2. Although the blender is very aesthetically pleasing, the surface stainless steel finish has begun to wear away all over the motor base. It looks awful, I am very disappointed that I paid so much to have the finish come off after only a few years.

Overall I love its technology and performance. I hate its jar tightening flaw and most of all the peeling finish.
I still think it's worth buying though."

"We have just purchased lLCD Blender BBL600XL & me the young gentleman with big toy is preparing getting it washed. So tomorrrow I can my juicy breakfast smoothie. It was remcommended by a husband who has purschased a few yrs. ago & loves it. Pointed how the blender jar is configured in a shape of a blow + the blades are set.. I've checked everything out as exlplained & sure enough it was true. The other thing sincce I am technical about things it was easy for me to see my old modles & compare to this one.
As I the blade right away had jaggered edges & more blades, the bottom was like a soup bowl compare to the regular ones were thight with very little opening to help crush allthe ice as an example..

"I recently purchased the above blender. This was my 4th blender in 5 years. I kept buying the kitchen aid 3 speed blender and had many problems. My new blender is awesome. The way the hemisphere works is great. No lumps at the bottom at all. Everything put in is well blended and smooth.

"I bought this blender after being impressed with the Breville Juice Fountain I bought previously. My last blender (Cuisinart) kept leaking, so it was time for a new one.

I love the 'Smoothie' preset, and use it to make perfect Pina Coladas with Hansen's Organic Pineapple Coconut juice, 1/4 pitcher Coconut RUm and half a pitcher of crushed ice. We also make great banana protein shakes, the Breville does all the work.
