Die Cast Series
Die Cast Series

At Breville the Die-Cast Series of appliances set a new standard in not only design and performance, but durability. Key parts, such as the base of the 800JEXL Juice Fountain Elite and 800CPXL Citrus Press and panels of the award winning 800ESXL Espresso Machine use die-cast metals for their long life, resistance to corrosion and elegant look. Die-casting of metals is a process by which a molten metal is introduced into a mold while it is liquid, allowed to solidify in the shape inside the mold, and then removed producing a body that is thicker and more durable than wrapped stainless steel. It is also used manufacturing automobiles, such as the casting of engine blocks or cylinder heads.

For us, product innovation is about helping people do new things. By combining technology, ideas and passion in remarkable ways never before seen we are able to empower people with new experiences. To breathe life into a new idea we must work hard, take risks, and never give up until we find the simple elegant solution.

The secret to our success
John O’Brien, chairman and passionate supporter of Breville R&D, discovered the secret to successful innovation: reading the cards. Every working day, until his passing in 2003 at age 88, John read all our customer feedback cards. “It’s the most important thing I do,” he said. Your feedback cards are still read daily by our Design, Innovation and Marketing Directors.
